The skies are starting to get very exciting here in Darwin. Our storm season has set in quite early, and we have already had quite a lot of rain which is unusual for so early in the season.
The landscape is now fluro-green after having a soaking – after several months with no rain (literally). Things are looking great! The sunsets are stunning, the clouds are awesome and the lightning is testing my patience!
I’ve been asked by a lot of people to do a tutorial on lightning photography, but to be honest I really don’t feel I am experienced enough in the field to be offering advice. I miss the opportunity 9 times out of 10! Getting in the right place is a challenge for me. My next blog will be about lightning (not a tutorial as such), but I will share my useful resources with you – how I go about trying to catch the lightning shots!
Here are some of my unseen shots from this month – including lots of those stormy skies! Let me know what you think, I would love to hear 🙂
Happy weekend everyone, and safe storm chasing to all those in the Top End this season!
