What is Etsy?
www.etsy.com is an awesome website, where crafties from all over the world have joined together online to sell their beautiful and unique wares!
Etsy is essentially only handmade products, from pretty greeting cards to air plant terrariums! (What on earth, I hear you ask? Check them out on Etsy!)
From Etsy themselves:
Etsy is a marketplace for crafters, artists, and collectors to sell their handmade creations, vintage goods, and crafting supplies. Etsy celebrates individual creativity in design and craftsmanship by connecting unique people, stories, and items in a playful and meaningful way.
Our mission is to re-imagine commerce in ways that build a more fulfilling and lasting world.
Why should I care about Etsy?
- Support small business, far and wide!
- Purchase something lovingly created, put together with care and dedication
Well, not only is it a platform for talented people to sell their wares, Etsy now has a real presence in Darwin!
Once a month, Etsy members of the Territory give you
the fabulous Pop-up Upmarket in the Darwin Botanic Gardens!
This new craft fair in Darwin is the only place to shop for completely unique pieces – some stall holders only sell their work here (and on Etsy.com, of course!)
The next one is on 22nd June 2014:
Here is a link to an awesome collection of unique items from our Etsy Territorian sellers – plus even more on display on Market days! See the ETSY TERRITORIANS TREASURY LIST
